International Day of The African Child

The Day of the African Child also serves to celebrate children of Africa as well as inspire sober reflection and action towards addressing the challenges that children in Africa face daily. The day is recognized as an advocacy tool for enhancing visibility as well as promoting children’s rights and welfare in Africa. Every June 16th we observe the International Day of the African Child to raise awareness around the continuing need for quality education and opportunities for children in Kenya and Africa.
